Festivals Splash, which is held twice a year.
Kaki Bassi
was born in Houston, Texas. Artist, Painter, Printmaker, Sculptor, Kaki
Bass is listed in Southwest Art Review, Who's Who of Women, Who's Who
in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Women, Who's
Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in emerging Leaders in America
and International Leaders in Achievement. Bassi earned her Bachelor and
Masters of Fine Arts Degree at Texas A & M at Canyon, Texas.
She went
on the teach in secondary and university level institutions including
the University of Cambridge, Homerton College, in Cambridge, England.
During an extensive stay in Europe, she had solo shows in Paris, France;
Milan, Italy; Cambridge, England; Istanbul, Turkey and numerous shows
in the United States and México. Seven of her pieces are in the
permanent collection of the Mexican Government (Istituto national de Antropologyia
y Historia).
Spending one year in Istanbul, Turkey, Bassi studied the contrast between
the early Christian and Eastern Cultures.
She arrived
in Cabo San Lucas in the fall of 1984 when it was merely a small fishing
village of 6,000 people. The magic and mystery of the Baja California
was stimulating to her creative taste. Establishing a studio and home
was a natural conclusion for Bassi.

Martinez Vera
Bio-Painter, poet, musician, architect, Nolasco used the symbols of the
ollas-clay water vessels as representative of mans existence and life
experiences. Humanity created from clay and will return to dust. Ollas
hold the essence of life and Nolasco enter twines this symbol for the
soul through out his watercolors. Some of his work is slanted toward surrealism.
What you though was a wall and window is really a window suspended in
the sky. There are other worlds in each of his paintings for you to discover.
With each painting you are drawn deeper into the depths of Nolasco's creative
soul.

Maria
Luisa Teutlí Castro
Bio - Teutlí studied to be an architect and it became clear that
her true life was with the pigments and brushes. She uses the representative
plant of México, the maguey cactus and transforms them into sensual
and sexual dreams of all women and men. Her works stirs in you those misplaced
dreams, lost , missed and found loves. The sensual first touch when loves
is growing and coming together from two into a single element grounded
to the earth. Anf from these first moments grown and reproduce this earth.

Perrot
Bio-Artist, teacher, yachtsman, Stanton Perrott was born and educated
in New Zealand. He studies fine art painting and drawing. Later he became
and advertising arts for a large agency. Most of his life he spent pursuing
a career in commercial art and had worked in Australia, England and Canada,
he won three awards in commercial art. He had written and illustrated
articles for several art books and magazines. Perrott's works have been
exhibited in New Zealand, Canada, U.S.A., Mexico and England and has his
paintings in many Private and Corporate collections through the world.

Chavez
Bio: Born in LaPaz, Baja California Sur, México. He paints in watercolor
and acrylics. He studied in San Carlos the most important Art School in
México. He has had several government grants one was to paint all
the missiones in Baja California another was to paint and record the local
people and customs of this state of Mexico. He has exhibited in many of
various individual and group shows. His works hang in some the finest
homes in this area and abroad. He uses a very rich pallet with great detail
and sharp contrast of color depicting the local area.

Moses
Gomez
Bio- Born in 1938 in Mexico City, studied at San Carlos the most important
Art School in Mexico.
He paints the typical market scenes and Mexican villages in a very impressionism.
He used oils on canvas and executes his creative genius with a pallet
knife. Recently he had a one man show in Japan and he has been one of
the selected artist for the Jardín de Arte in México since
1953.

Trinidad
Osario
Bio-Born in México City has studies and exhibited in New York and
currently lives in Puerto Vallarta. He paints in oil and his subject matter
is children at play surrounded in lush green and colorful plants. Although
the children are stylized there is always the mystery and a story to uncover.
Anita
Corta
Bio-Born 1945 in Guadalajara, studied in San Carlos and later University
of Texas. She is allergic to the sun and has to remain in her home most
of the time. This has given her the opportunity work at her chosen field
of painting. She paints the genre of the Mexican culture in bold colors
and brush strokes.
Sherry
Lee
Bio-Born in California has her bachelor of fine arts and later completed
coursed in computer graphics. She paints in a painterly creative impressionist
style. She likes to use figure in expressing her sensitivity to life.
Her landscapes draw you deep into the under layers of colors for that
final impact of intrigue.

Domingo Block Peña
Bio- Domingo Block Peña was born in Mexico City in 1955. His uncle
was a printer of books and Domingo was always curious about the process
and would hand around his company. When he grew older he studied art and
it was a natural for him to turn his talents to engravings. His work is
hand engraved into copper plates and before printing each and every color
is lay in by hand. He prints all of his own work they are a limited edition
of 200 each. His works all in the miniature from one inch by one inch
to the largest 9 inches by 12 inches. His work is collected by many people
from all over the world.

Diana Angel
Bio- Studied under Stanley Lee Gonzalez the world recognized engraved.
Diana illustrates children books. Her prints are one of a kind artist
proofs. Her designs are first etched into copper and zinc plates through
several acid baths at various times and degrees. Then they are inked with
printing inks and printed. Each color must have a separate etched plate.
She depicts angels, child like figures and each has it's own humor or
mystery.

Marine
Bio-Chuck Byron- Chuck lives in San Diego and is world renown for hi paintings
of wildlife and especially marine subjects. He paints in watercolors and
several of his paintings are available in prints. Galería Kaki
Bassi handles both originals and prints.

David Mellor
Bio - Born in St. Helens, Lancashire 1954. He was encouraged by his mother
as she recognized his early talent before he was 6. His father dies when
he was 9 and left the family destitute. He quit school at 15 to become
a brick layer. Later he married and divorced and move to Australia in
1988. He encountered a friend who again encouraged him into painting.
This time he would let no one stop him. He paints the elusive marlin and
marine life. He is quoted in saying that it is most challenging paintings
to capture the power and movement of he struggle of the marlins and their
environment.
